Men Without Rhythm
Posted in: Videos on Friday, July 8th, 2011
No false advertising here. We were billed as, “Men Without Rhythm”, and then wasted no time in living up to the name in the Telluride, Colorado 4th of July parade. I had been in Telluride as a spectator at the parade before, but never as a parade participant. At the urging of my friend Ned Powell I agreed to march with his group this year. I mean how could I refuse being in,”Men Without Rhythm?” With that name it’s a role I was born to play. This year’s theme, which we learned only two hours before taking to the streets was Jimmy Buffet. Our costumes came complete with parrot hats and stick on tattoos. After ten minutes of pratice going through the dance moves and then considerably more time drinking margaritas we were ready to strut out stuff.
I tell the story of my 4th of July adventure on this weeks radio show, “National Geographic Weekend,” but here is the embarrassing video that confirms we were indeed, “Men Without Rhythm.”
here are the links where you can listen to the entire show.
